GENERAL INFO
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located at 138 W. Houston St. between Mc Dougal & Sullivan St, a block from 6th Ave.
WHAT ARE YOUR BUSINESS HOURS?
Depending on our morning orders we open anywhere between 9am-1pm. We start with wholesale, then catering, retail custom orders, and finally open up the shop to the public. We close at 11pm Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday at 2am. It's always best to call first before making a visit.
DO YOU SELL COOKIES INDIVIDUALLY AND PIES BY THE SLICE OR ONLY WHOLE CUSTOM ORDERS?
We offer both, in shop you can purchase everything individually, however if you do need a whole cake, cheesecake, pie, etc, that would be considered a custom order and must be placed 2 days in advance, 1 day for rush.
DO YOU OFFER WI-FI?
Yes, wi-fi is available for customers.
IT SAYS YOU ARE A "LOUNGE" WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL, DO YOU OFFER LIQUOR?
We are a lounge in that we are open late night, with an inviting feel good vibe where you can enjoy your company and space for as long as we're open. We also have live music on most weekends, an open mic night, and guest DJ's spinning awesome beats. Down the line we hope to obtain our liquor license and offer speciality beers and wine.
WHAT'S ALL THIS CUSTOMIZATION ABOUT?
We specialize in custom sweets that are baked from scratch in small batches using fresh ingredients. We encourage you to customize your order, such as toppings, fillings, frostings, and so on. If you don't see something on our menu, give us a call and we will try to whip up a batch for you.
DO YOU OFFER SAMPLES FOR CUSTOM DESIGNS?
You can schedule tastings for weddings, special functions, and large corporate orders starting at $10 depending on the complexity, flavor selection and ingredients needed in your order. A credit of the same amount will be applied to your balance if you decide to proceed with the order.
I HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES, WILL IT BE SAFE TO CONSUME YOUR PRODUCTS?
Our bakery contains and uses nuts, flour, eggs, and dairy. We are strict about cleaning tools properly to avoid cross contamination. If you are severely allergic to an ingredient such as nuts, we do not recommend the consumption of our products. Please make it known if you do place a custom order what ingredients you can not have.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS CERTIFIED KOSHER OR ORGANIC?
Many of our ingredients are Kosher and Organic however the final product has not been certified
PLACING AN ORDER
HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?
You may place an order through our website which after payment will be confirmed via phone or you may call in an order as well as email us. We want to hear from you personally so we can make sure you get exactly what you want. If we do not answer, please leave a message as we're probably baking or with a customer. Please make sure you leave your full name, contact number, and your question/order.
WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
All orders should be placed at least 2 days in advance. We bake to order and need the time to pick up ingredients, bake, and schedule a delivery person should you need it. If it is a rush order please call us for availability. Large or holiday orders require 2 week notice.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and company check only. You may make payment over the phone, in person or mail checks payable to :Ivy Bakery LLC. If paying by check please allow 3-5 business days for checks to clear before an order can be confirmed. For orders over $150, 50% of the total is due upfront and non-refundable if canceled within 24 hours of scheduled delivery/pick-up time. The remaining balance is to be paid in advance or at delivery/pick-up.
DELIVERY & SHIPPING
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
You may request the day and time of your delivery or pick-up. Place your order early to guarantee a preferred time slot. We will try to accommodate you as best as we can, however there is the chance that your requested day and time will not be available. We hand deliver all our sweets, due to unforeseen delays, your order may be 30-45 minutes early OR late. Please schedule your orders accordingly.
WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?
We deliver in Manhattan (South Ferry to 110th St) and parts of Brooklyn, please call to confirm your area. Delivery hours are 11AM-8PM Mon-Sun, we are also available most holidays. If you need your order earlier or later than this please speak with the bakery to see if a delivery person will be available at that time.
HOW MUCH WILL DELIVERY COST?
Effective August 1, 2012 deliveries will start at $15 and up depending on distance and the amount being delivered. Please ask for a price quote along with your order.
I LIVE OUTSIDE OF THE DELIVERY AREA, CAN I STILL PLACE AN ORDER?
Yes, you can still place an order. You may pick-up your order at our bakery or choose a convenient location within the delivery area where we will meet you. We can also give you a price for delivery outside of our area.
CAN ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS BE SHIPPED?
Yes, select items can be shipped (anything that doesn't need to be refrigerated and not fragile.) Please call us to confirm that your item is okay for shipping. We ship anywhere in the U.S. Shipping & Handling is based on the weight of the package and will be charged to your card after it has been shipped. We usually ship via UPS Ground, however you may specify other carriers. Depending on your location, delivery may take between 3-5 business days. Expedited shipping is available and encouraged to keep your product fresh.
